Never sprinkle coffee grounds right next to the plant. There's a great way to feed your roses coffee grounds, which lowers the ph on soil and attracts worms which loosen and feed the soil- great for roses! ... Don't throw away extra coffee grounds that you don't need for roses, lots of other plants enjoy them, too.
