Who both or both of whom?

“Whom” and “him” both end in “m,” so just remember that if you can answer the question with “him,” use “whom.” If you can answer the question with “he,” use “who.” So let's go back to our sample sentences: You would have seen “him” yesterday (the object), so the correct answer to the first sentence is “whom.”
