Choose the mower appropriate for your size property If your yard is less than 1/2 acre and relatively flat a 30-42 inch mower is a good choice. If your yard is larger than 1/2 acre but below one acre, a 38-46 inch ride-on mower is an excellent choice. The most common size is 42 inches.
