Note the axillary artery becomes the brachial artery at the inferior border of the teres major muscles and continues through the anteromedial portion of the arm before bifurcating into the radial and ulnar arteries, in the cubital fossa. A sphygmomanometer (G. sphygmus, pulse) is used to measure blood pressure.
